Privacy Policy

NoogaBytes is run by Matt Forbush in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This policy covers noogabytes.com. It explains what information the site collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. Questions go to me@matt.forbush.biz.
What I collect
When you send a message
The contact form asks for your name, email address, the service you’re interested in, your website (optional), and your message. Those details are emailed to me so I can reply. They aren’t added to a mailing list, and I don’t send marketing email you didn’t ask for.
When you browse
- Server logs. Like most websites, the server records each request: IP address, browser type, the page asked for, and the time. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure.
- Analytics, only if you agree. If you accept cookies, Google Analytics records which pages you view, how you arrived, and general device and location information (city level, not exact). It doesn’t tell me who you are.
When you book a call
The “book a call” links open Microsoft Bookings. What you enter there is handled by Microsoft and shared with me so the meeting can happen.
How I use it
- To answer your message and, if we work together, to do the work and send invoices.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the site (analytics, with consent).
- To block spam and abuse, and to keep the site secure.
- When the law requires it.
I don’t sell your information, share it for advertising, or use it to build ad profiles.
Who else handles it
A few services help run the site. Each only gets what it needs for its job:
- Cloudflare delivers and protects the site, and runs the Turnstile check on the contact form.
- Microsoft 365 sends and stores email, including contact form messages, and runs Bookings.
- Google Analytics measures visits, only after you accept cookies.
Cookies and browser storage
Analytics cookies are off until you choose Accept in the cookie banner. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, I treat that as a no and don’t ask. You can change your mind at any time:

How long I keep it
Messages are kept as long as needed to reply and, for clients, for business and tax records. Google Analytics data is kept under Google’s retention settings for this site. Server logs are rotated and deleted on a regular schedule.
Your choices
You can ask to see the information I have about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email me@matt.forbush.biz and I’ll reply within 30 days. I may keep what the law requires me to keep, such as invoices.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, and contact form details are sent straight to my mailbox without being stored on the web server. No system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable care to protect what you share.
Children
This site is for businesses. It isn’t meant for children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If the cookies change, the banner will ask you again.
