Case study · San Francisco Bay

$25,000 booked online since April.

And by Molly’s count, easily another $25,000 by phone.

Molly Breivis runs private fishing charters, boat tours, swim support, and memorials on San Francisco Bay. I rebuilt her website in April 2026.

Online: paid through mollysboats.com since the new site launched in April 2026. Phone: Molly’s own estimate, since calls aren’t tracked. As of September 30, 2026.

The story

Off the phone and on the boat.

Before

Molly’s old website was a single page on WordPress, and not many people found it. The few calls it did bring in kept her on the phone, arranging each booking herself.

Now

The new site handles a booking from start to finish. Customers choose a trip, pick a date, pay, and sign the waiver online without calling. Molly spends that time with her passengers.

The new site is also well promoted, so far more people find her, and plenty of them still like to call. Molly says she’s easily booked another $25,000 by phone since April, on top of what the site took online.

The old site and the new one

Molly’s Boats website as it was before April 2026, under a banner reading “Molly’s website prior to April 2026”: the logo, a phone number, and four buttons reading Swim, Tour, Fish, and Eco at the top of one long page.

How a customer booked

  1. Lands on a single page: the logo, a phone number, and four buttons.
  2. Taps Fish and scrolls past the trip descriptions and prices.
  3. Fills out the booking form at the bottom of that section, or calls the number at the top.
  4. Follows a link to a separate page to sign the waiver.

How a customer books now

  1. Lands on the page for the trip they want, from Google or the menu.
  2. Reads what the trip includes and what it costs.
  3. Picks a date and pays online.
  4. Signs the waiver online before the trip.

Both sites are still up, so you can click through each one. The old site is kept as an archived copy, and the Wayback Machine has an independent capture from July 2025.

On Google and FishingBooker, as of September 30, 2026. I did the search setup and review work behind those numbers.

I used to spend half my day on the phone working out dates, prices and deposits. Now people pick a trip, pay, and sign the waiver before they ever get to the dock, so I spend that time on the boat. And the calls I still get are from people who found the new site and already know what they want.
